I make work that explores how to surprise the viewer (and myself) in the expectations of viewing photographic imagery. Wether that be through spacial play within the photographic field or physically intervening with the photograph as a sculptural medium, I am excited the possibility of making someone look twice or at least a little bit longer.

"I'm a portrait artist fascinated with the power of facial expression and its ability to provoke emotional response. I have recently moved to Sheffield after 7 years by the sea in Brighton. [The picture interview is].. completely different to what I usually do, found it really hard if I'm honest as they are not your every day questions but was a really nice change to just sit down and doodle. Thank you for asking me to be a part of it!"

What we feel affects how we see; with all the subtle shifts and variations of light and colour, our experience of the present is as temporal as nature – one mirrors the other.

I think I’m slightly neurotic. My legs twitch a lot and my mind finds it hard to focus, but I feel everyone says this. I’m trying to find balance with my work, not so much theoretically but aesthetically. I want everything to sort of fall into line, some weird visual code that I can’t explain (or even really understand). I arrange and rearrange over and over again until it falls into place (or doesn’t). Drink espresso, see the future.

"I am based in Brighton in a lovely house with some of my sweetest and greatest pals. My work is fully about playing and exploring. The aim is to constantly discover new things. I love colour so much and it plays a big role in everything I do, daily. My work is about real life, delivered in an abstract way and is often a record of my days, my feelings and whatever is going on around me. That interview was so much FUN and I'm so glad to be a part of it."

I am Adam Moore and I'm based in Brighton. My illustrative work focuses on narratives and characters. I don't really know why I draw what I draw, I try not to think about it too much in case I lose it, but mainly I think it's just to entertain myself. I really enjoyed doing my second picture interview, I've tried to develop a character & story (vaguely based on me) throughout the images. I think it's a great idea that works really well as it's like a load of mini commissions/briefs so it's not too daunting to get stuck in to.
