A visceral sickness is created by the heightened fake-ness and artificiality of the work, becoming toxic and potentially damaging to our organic form which is the human body. Underpinning Laura’s work is a reminder to the viewer of our primitive humanness and inescapable shared mortality.
I am a French / English visual artist and adventurer. My photographs explore subconscious boundaries between urban and natural worlds. Taken from my experiences travelling, I document how humans construct, alter and interact with our increasingly precious and fragile environment, in a time of exponential progression and destruction.

I think I’m slightly neurotic. My legs twitch a lot and my mind finds it hard to focus, but I feel everyone says this. I’m trying to find balance with my work, not so much theoretically but aesthetically. I want everything to sort of fall into line, some weird visual code that I can’t explain (or even really understand). I arrange and rearrange over and over again until it falls into place (or doesn’t). Drink espresso, see the future.
