Manhattan based Art Director, Designer and Illustrator, Joseph Veazey has worked with the likes of Adult Swim, Cartoon Network and Azede Jean-Pierre. For a while I had a tab dedicated to his projects after finding them on It’s Nice That and Illustration Age. Those playful, garish, boyish block colours and illustrations of acid dipped people, with eyes that could psyche out a hardened skinhead.. got me hooked. Kollektiv: What’s your process of making new illustrations?
Joe: I try to come up with a strong concept first, then choose a technique/style that complements the idea. This allows me to be able to continuously experiment with different techniques and not always be expected to produce work with the same look/feel.
Kollektiv: Did you like answering our picture interview questions?
Joe: I had a lot of fun answering the questions!
Kollektiv: Thank you Joe, you’re the best & we love you.
