What the hell is going on? That’s usually where I start from when making work. It’s actually a really tough question to answer. The more closely I look, the less sure I become. Are we unified or separate? What’s civilized and what’s primitive What is the truth and what is a collective fantasy? Is globalization a single tribe or a tribal war?
I’m mostly a sculptor but I like installation art and writing. I secretly want to be a performance artist. Sometimes I live in Aspen, Colorado; sometimes I live in Lamu, Kenya. Right now, I’m trapped in LA. It’s complicated. Identity is complicated. It’s getting more complicated. But it’s also simple.

Define a symbolic border.
Through apocalyptic storms how do you envision a hopeful future?
How does optimistic dystopia gather and transform in your mind?
What are your coping mechanisms in a time of collapse?
How does the imagination, technology and ecology intertwine?
What gives you faith and grounding?
How is our current situation forcing you to analyse systems of knowledge?
Could this be the catalyst for a new collective consciousness?
What is one thing that has changed you?
Who are we becoming?
